Head coach of Barbados’ senior Lady Tridents remains confident that his 23-woman squad will shine in the first leg of the 2022 Concacaf W Qualifiers.
The women, who were drawn in Group D along with the likes of Belize and El Salvador, will face Panama at the Estadio Rommel Fernández in Panama City on February 17, before knocking boots with Aruba on February 22 in the Dominican Republic.
“I have no doubt that the girls that came back into the squad will add to what we started to build in Suriname. They are some very experienced players, very good technically, and I know their commitment,” he said.
Harte, a former national captain and Barbados Defence Force Sports Programme and University of the West Indies Blackbirds forward added during training, the team paid particular attention to their tactical organization, fitness, and shooting drills.
“All in all, I believe we will put on a good show, and above all, we will do our best. The final session before we left was good. The spirits were high, there were no injuries, and everyone was looking sharp and ready to go,” he said.
