ESFC Unity Stars whitewashed Crane and Equipment Ellerton 17-0 in Sunday’s round of the Barbados Football Association’s Women’s League at the Wildey AstroTurf.

This win now places them in the third spot in this year’s tournament. Midfielder Marissa King took the lead for the winning team with six goals. She deposited three goals during the first half of the match and three more, one minute apart, in the 53rd, 54th and 55th minutes of the game.

Teammates Makala Alleyne and Nicole Parris logged hat-tricks while Tiana Sealy got a brace. Nashandi Clarke and Keiba Roach netted one goal each.

Defending champions National Sports Council continued on their unbeaten streak when they blanked Technique Football Club 4-0. Kamillah Burke, Tianna Hackett, Shanice Stevenson and Kimberly Ellis were all target.

UWI Blackbirds moved into second place with a 3-1 victory over Kick Start Genesis. Goal scorers for UWI were Caitlin Padmore, Rhonda Guiseppi and Gabriella Lopez, while Christaline Chandler got the lone goal for Kick Start. (RA)
