Grassroots Festival Travels to White Hall in St. Peter

The Barbados Football Association conducted the first edition of the Northern Grassroots Festivals last Saturday at the White Hall Grounds in St. Peter.

Close to sixty children between the ages of 5 and 17 participated in the festival and were under the guidance of Technical Director of the Barbados Football Association Mr Ahmed Mohamed.

The festival which lasted for about two hours saw the coaches put the children through various aspects of football training and playing situations.

This was the first of a series of festivals in the North of the island. The next festival will be on Saturday October 14th at the Checker Hall playing field in St. Lucy commencing at 9.30 a.m. It then moves to the Speightstown playing on Saturday October 21st before heading out to various locations in the eastern part of the island.

All children are invited to participate.
