Executive Director of Trident10 TV Paul Clarke and BFA General Secretary Edwyn Wood signing the broadcast contract.
When the first ball is kicked off for the 2018 Premier League, fans of local football here in Barbados and abroad will be able to watch from the comfort of their homes. That is because the Barbados Football Association and Trident10 TV have struck up a partnership that will see the birth of 'Sunday Night Football'.
With the two parties signing a contract today at the BFA's Wildey headquarters, three games a week will be streamed live into homes and on devices once things get started on March 11th. The historic move will see fans able to watch games on Digicel's Trident10 channel, on Facebook and from the BFA's website.
Viewers will be treated to an exciting experience as the FA will be allowing the world to look in on the new Premier League format as well as the new facilities which are slated to be completed in time for the start of the top tier. With games being played primarily on Saturdays and Sundays, the series is set to run well into July for the 2018 season.
